Azcue CA 50/3A

The Azcue CA is a self-priming centrifugal pump that does not require a foot valve on the suction line. On starting, the impeller draws air from the suction pipe, mixing it with the liquid already in the casing; the air separates out at the top of the diffuser and escapes through the discharge while the liquid recirculates until the suction line is fully primed, after which it runs as an ordinary centrifugal pump. Back pull-out design allows the internals to be serviced without disturbing the pipework, and the impeller and diffuser can be swapped to reverse rotation. Casing, cover, diffuser, and impeller are bronze as standard (cast iron GG25 available on request), shaft in stainless steel. Suited to marine service (ballast, bilge, fire-fighting, engine cooling), industrial transfer and circulation, domestic drainage, and irrigation with clean or lightly loaded water. The CA-50/3A is available in bare shaft, monobloc, and base-plate executions, with a DN50 suction and DN50 discharge, across motor options from 2.2–5.5 kW. Also available with reversed rotation by swapping the impeller and diffuser. The '3' in the model name denotes its base 50Hz motor rating in HP.
