KSB Itur IL Series
First-generation vertical in-line centrifugal pumps built to the DIN 24255 standard, widely fitted on vessels built in the 1990s and early 2000s for space-critical cooling and ballast transfer duty. Their in-line suction and discharge connections allow direct installation into straight pipe runs, saving valuable floor space in engine rooms and pumping stations.
The standard IL and ILS executions use a flexible spacer coupling between pump and motor, enabling back pull-out maintenance: the impeller, shaft, and mechanical seal can all be serviced without disturbing the suction or discharge piping. Where headroom is tight, the close-coupled ILC and ILCS executions mount the pump directly to a rigid motor frame instead, trading the spacer coupling for a shorter footprint while keeping the same ease of internal access. The ILS and ILCS executions add an integrated self-priming system, letting the pump clear air from the suction line and lift liquid from lower compartments on its own, with no manual priming or external foot valve required.

Reference Numbers
These reference numbers identify a part's position on the series diagram — the exact part fitted differs by model. To order, provide the reference number together with the model name and the serial number stamped on the nameplate.
