KSB Itur MZ/MA Series
Horizontal, multi-stage liquid ring pumps with inherent self-priming capacity, built for clean or slightly aggressive fluids free of abrasive solids: freshwater, seawater, demineralized water, oily water, ultra-filtered water, gas oil, solvents, and non-abrasive acids. The casing is radially split for horizontal installation, with both suction and discharge flanges oriented vertically upward. Model codes spell out the configuration directly: MZ-41/3 reads as MZ Series, size frame 41, with 3 internal stages.
The shaft seal comes in two interchangeable forms: a low-maintenance single mechanical seal or a traditional graphite packing gland. MZ Series pairs a heavy-duty ball bearing at the drive end with a compact friction bearing sleeve at the non-drive end; MA Series steps up to independent ball bearings on both sides of the shaft alongside internal friction bearings, for continuous duty. Ball bearings are grease-packed for life; friction bearings are self-lubricated by the pumped fluid itself. Standard IEC-frame motors connect through a flexible rubber plug-type coupling with no spacer, protected by a metallic coupling guard. Long-coupled units sit on a welded sectional steel or U-rail baseplate; close-coupled units use compact dual U-rails.

Reference Numbers
These reference numbers identify a part's position on the series diagram — the exact part fitted differs by model. To order, provide the reference number together with the model name and the serial number stamped on the nameplate.
