ABB TPL Series
Produced from 1996 to 2018 with pressure ratios up to 5.0:1, TPL became ABB's large-engine fleet standard by removing water-cooling lines from the casing entirely, eliminating sulfur corrosión risk. Three variants cover the range: -A for 4-stroke medium-speed main propulsion, -B for large 2-stroke low-speed engines with a fully uncooled casing, and -C as an enhanced thermodynamic trim for higher peak pressures.
