In production since 2015 for massive engine outputs with variable pressure ratios, MET-MAG Class is Mitsubishi's hybrid energy-recovery system: an integrated, high-speed generator motor mounted directly on the main rotor shaft, converting excess exhaust gas speed into auxiliary electric power for the vessel.
